Dual-Laminate piping for OQUENDO 2 Plant Upgrade - QUIMPAC

QUIMPAC is one of the main suppliers of caustic soda, domestic salt, and salt by-products in the region. Their chemicals division operates two plants: Oquendo and Paramonga.

Oquendo plant produces caustic soda and chlorine gas, and by -products.

QUIMPAC in on long term client for LEPSA, being the first project completed for them, back in 2001.

As part of the upgrade works of Oquendo 2, located at Ventanilla, Callao-Peru, in February 2013, LEPSA was contracted to perform the site jointing of Dual laminate pipes and fittings.

There were 9,900 site joints ranged from 1” up to 20” diameter, totaling 33,150 inch-diameter of FRP butt strapped joints and thermoplastic welding, which includes PVC-U, PVC-C, and PP.

All works undergo very strict quality control checks in accordance to the technical standards for project. At the same time, all safety standards were followed and applied to the work, resulting in Zero Incidents at the end of the project.
