In October 2020, Repsol Comercial SAC (REPSOL), a company which we share a long term commercial relationship with, signed an agreement for supplying and installing thirty five (35) double wall, underground tanks for liquid fuels. This procurement forms part of a corporate plan for upgrading all equipment and facilities within Lima metro area.
LESPA will provide the tanks, manufactured by our business partner, Bertotto Boglione in Argentina. The double wall tanks will include a leak detection sensor and alarm system, providing the peace of mind that no environmental incidents would ever be occurred. These will be the first tanks Peru to feature the jacketed steel system with UL certification, which consists on a steel tank externally covered by an FRP tank.
The commercial relationship between LEPSA and REPSOL dates back to 2015, our company then was regarded as the exclusive supplier for FRP lining services for liquid fuel tanks, as part of a revamping scheme for extending the service life of the equipment. Up to date, LEPSA has completed over 70 tank lining services for fuel stations across the country.
