The carbon footprint is a key indicator of environmental impact that measures the totality of greenhouse gases (GHGs) that generates, directly or indirectly, the development of a company's operations.

LEPSA has committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to adopt sustainable practices aimed at reducing GHG emissions and helping to combat climate change. This initiative has been recognized by the government program “Huella de Carbono Perú” (Peru Carbon Footprint), which awarded LEPSA the first of four possible stars.
