The technology of the FRP tanks Oblation System, is the result of a combination of mathematical calculations, the study of finite element methods and the use of high elongation flexible resins.
The transportation of this type of FRP tanks consists of the compression of cylindrical tanks sections to give them a narrower shape. Therefore, it allows these sections of up to 15 m diameter (tanks up to 2,500 m3 capacity) to be loaded onto trucks and transported by road.
In this way, the delivery and commissioning time of the equipment, as well as the project costs, are considerably improved. The cylindrical sections can be transported one inside the other on flatbed trucks. On site, the oblation of the sections is reversed by returning to the original manufacturing circumference.
On-site assembly and installation is carried out by superimposing the cylindrical sections, joining them with the same manufacturing material (chemical welding) and installing stiffening rings at the joints, which guarantees joints with greater mechanical resistance. Subsequently, the required connections and accessories are installed. Learn more about FRP tanks manufactured by LEPSA.
