FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) mixers and settlers are manufactured for the mineral extraction process, such as solvent extraction (SX) and electrowinning (EW). SX-EW methods are distinct unit metallurgical operations that recover high purity metal from leach solutions.
Solvent extraction is used to concentrate materials in an organic solution, while electrowinning is used to recover these exploitable elements. The two procedures are performed together and electrowinning (EW) is performed after solvent extraction (SX).

LEPSA manufactures mixers and settlers in FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester). The equipment are manufactured according to the client's design and engineering, as well as international standards ASME RTP-1 and ASTM for the manufacture of FRP equipment.
We also manufacture equipment in dual laminate (thermoplastic/FRP) for applications where operating conditions require it. In these cases, a thermoplastic liner (PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDF, ECTFe, etc) is used as a chemical barrier and the FRP as a structure.
