In September 2022, METSO OUTOTEC adjudicated LEPSA the engineering development and fabrication of (02) Ø 1.20 x 19.30 m stacks (supplied in 2 flanged sections) for sulfuric acid mist at 50 °C for the electro winning (EW) plant of the Yanacocha Sulfides Project, owned by Newmont Corporation.  

Previously METSO OUTOEC awarded in July 2022, GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester) hoods for the acid mist capture system of electrolytic cells. The award considered the supply of (132) hoods for the Yanacocha Sulfides Project in Peru.

In this way, LEPSA ratifies its commitment with the Yanacocha Sulfides Project and remains attentive to receive new assignments to contribute to its success.
