LEPSA provides (50) FRP process and reactor tanks for Toromocho Mining Project – Chinalco Peru

In 2007, China Aluminum Corporation (CHINALCO) created Minera Chinalco Perú in order to develop their operations in Toromocho Mine site, located in Yauli, Junin at 4,500 m above sea level. Its main product is concentrated copper ore. The plant was designed for processing 1,838 tnm per day or copper ore and 25.7 tnm or molybdenum ore (as oxides), and includes crushing, grinding, floatation, concentration, and thickening.

From January 2010 until July 2011, Aker Solution (EPCM) contracted Lepsa for the engineering, and manufacture of fifty (50) process and reactor tanks for the concentrate plant. Tanks were required for various different project stages, and were manufactured from Vinyl ester resin, with glass and synthetic surface veils, and ECR glass all through. Tanks’ dimensions vary from Ø 3.11 ft x 4.11 ft H (for 2m3), up to Ø 12.6 ft x 23 ft H (80 m3).
