Since December 2015, Compañía Minera Zaldívar (CMZ) is part of Antofagasta Minerals, one the largest private mining companies in Chile.
In November 2019, LEPSA CHILE SpA was awarded with the engineering and manufacture of FRP settlers, launder channels, and mixer tanks, as part of an upgrading works of the leaching process of secondary sulfurs, by Pares y Alvarez, a company specialized in Engineering and Project Management, and responsible for the project’s procurement.
All equipment was design, manufactured, and tested in reference to industry accepted standards, such as ASME RTP-1 and BS EN 13121-3; and made from highly corrosion resistant brominated vinyl ester resins, which are compatible to the duty and flammable resistant.
LEPSA’s experience in the manufacture of mixers and settler, and the trust given by Pares y Alvarez and Antofagasta Minerals, made possible to deliver the project, which includes:
Despite all worldwide restrictions due to COVID-19, all equipment is being delivered on time, being the final delivery by March 2021. The key to success was setting up an effective safety plan for all our operations, and strictly following all bio-security protocols.
In October 2020, we have achieved the first delivery milestone, by delivering 08 mixer tanks, 01 interconnecting launder channel, and 03 organic launder channels.
Thanks to Pares y Alvarez and Antofagasta Minerals for the trust given. LEPSA CHILE has puta all available resources at project’s disposal, as well as our 20 year experience in the industry and all our professional staff. This is a very important milestone in our history as a company, which confirm our position as a leader in the region.
